American Theatre Company’s production of A Christmas Carol has been delighting Tulsa audiences for over 45 years. A timeless tale of hope and redemption, family, friendship, and the spirit of giving, this show represents community theater at its best. In fact, the entire production was written and composed by Tulsans Robert Odle and Richard Averill and as always, our beloved holiday classic continues to be designed, directed, produced, and performed by Tulsans. Each year, A Christmas Carol creates a special opportunity for multiple generations to enjoy theater together, whether as audience members, on stage, or behind the scenes. Tulsans who once came to the production as children, are now experiencing the joy of sharing it with their own children.

This donation will also help in our efforts to replace the beautiful set that first appeared on stage in 1991 — over thirty years ago!

For many Tulsans, the set for A Christmas Carol has become its own character in the production. Our goal is to completely reimagine and renovate the set by 2026, including the reinstatement of beautiful pieces that were removed before last year’s production to ensure the safety of the cast and crew.
